Jonathan came back from his Grandfather's funeral on Friday night. His time in UT was bittersweet. The sweet parts were that he got to pay his respects to his Grandpa and spend time with family that he hadn't seen in a long time. And he got to spend time with his brothers and sisters. They were all together without children or spouses. Here are the five of them: Tami, Jonathan (of course!), Gregg, Jeremy, and Brandi.
On Saturday morning, I went with the youth from our ward to the Gila River Temple Open House. It was so beautiful! I loved sharing with the youth the feelings that I had as I was sealed to Jonathan and then as we were sealed to Samantha. I love the temple. I am so excited to go to UT this weekend and see Becca and Preston's marriage sealing in the Salt Lake Temple! While I am not looking forward to the drive with my beautiful, energetic toddlers, and I so happy that we get to share that happy day with people who are so near and dear to us. UT, here we come!

Birthday Thoughts

Yesterday I turned 31. I had a great birthday, I got spoiled and felt completely loved.
Yesterday Jonathan's grandpa died. He was 91. He had a heart attack and fell down the stairs yesterday morning and was gone in the evening. We found out about his fall yesterday but didn't find out about his passing until today. Jonathan will leave on Wednesday for his funeral. I mourn with the Olsens but am so grateful that he didn't suffer too much.
Learning about the passing of J's grandfather has made me think a lot about life. And what matters is people...our family, our friends, our neighbors. I am grateful for so many people in this life. (If you read this blog, you are one of them :) ).
I am incredibly thankful for my hubby and girlies. I took these pictures a few weeks ago and felt I should post them before I forgot about them. The girls are totally into dress-up right now. They love hats, sunglasses (obviously), wearing my shoes, and of course, bling jewelry. I thought this stage would come when they were older, but they are girly girls. And I want to treasure every stage with them, especially the fun, silly, girliness.

We had a blast. We miss them.

My parents were here visiting for a whole week. We had so much fun talking, eating, laughing, playing with girls, and playing games every night.
This past week was also Trish's birthday. We had a little birthday dinner for her and it was so fun for Sami to have both Grandmas here. Janie was asleep for most of the dinner and this photo shoot. She shared our room and we were all a little sleep deprived. But it was so worth it.

It was so fun to see my parents play with the girls. It was like have entertainers around all day. They made my job so easy :). Sami got horsey rides and walks on demand. Sometimes she went for three walks a day.
This was the first time that either of my kids have fallen asleep in their high chairs. She was just so cute lying there. Not so cute when I had to wake her up for clean-up. Poor little thing was so tired.
I love family.

Easter Enjoyment

This was my favorite Easter ever! The kids really do make holidays fun. And it is great having J around! Those extra two hands are fabulous and help me out so much. I am really getting spoiled.
While I loved all the fun things we did this year, my favorite part was General Conference. It seems like I always have something on my mind when conference comes around, and when conference is done, my testimony is strengthened and I have more hope and peace. I love our church leaders and I have a testimony of their calling.

But more than anything, I am so grateful for our Savior. His life, ministry, death, and resurrection give my life meaning, hope, and joy.
I hope you all had a great Easter!
