Janie's Preschool Graduation

This was a fun night for Janie. She is officially done with preschool forever.
Her teacher, Miss Darcy, is so sweet and fun. She was a blessing.
Thankfully it was a short "ceremony." We went to Culver's afterwards for ice cream to celebrate this "achievement."
She is so excited for kindergarten.
On another note, today was Sami's last day of kindergarten. They don't have a kindergarten graduation at this school. She has been crying all afternoon saying how much she misses Mr. Greve. I have cuddled her and given her a popsicle and yet the tears still come. She even journaled about it. I am pretty sure in a few years she will hardly remember Mr. Greve (I have no idea who my kindergarten teacher was) but it's a little hard at the moment.

Jonathan's Birthday

I have struggled with blogging lately. I have been so busy with my primary calling. I feel like it kinda zaps all my spare time and energy.
But I don't want to forget these moments.

Last week was Jonathan's birthday. And his mom was in town. So Trish, Janie, Lucy, and I all drove downtown and surprised him and his office with brownies. This is a picture of his first taste. :)

I had never been to Jonathan's office before. But it was fun to see where he works and he loved the surprise.
It embarrasses Jonathan when I get all mushy about him on the computer, so I will just say that my life is so great with him. I love you, honey!
I am hoping to do a bigger post about his mom's visit. Life feels like it is racing by with all the school stuff coming to an end. But life is good.

She lost a tooth!!

Today was a long-awaited day.
Sami lost her first tooth!!
She is so, so excited. The tooth fairy is coming tonight.
She looked into the mirror and squealed with delight.
She showed Jonathan and I her loose tooth and she just happened to be eating an apple. Jonathan said for it come out, either he could pull it out (which had Sami and I cringing) or she could bite into the apple really hard. So she took a giant bite of apple and there it was!
She wanted to know how the tooth fairy would know she lost a tooth. I assured her the tooth fairy knew all about it.
This little lady is growing up. It's making me happy and sad. Happy that she is such a good girl. Sad that it's going by so fast.
