Nappy Time

Sami has always been a really good napper. Like me, she needs and likes her sleep. But this past week she has learned how to sit up. She can only do it in her crib because she uses the bumper pads to pull herself up. Whenever we put her down, we like check on her to make sure she is okay and sleeping, and this is what we now see:
She will spend an hour just playing in her crib quietly by herself. Whenever we check on her, she turns and looks at us and smiles. Most of her crib time this week was spent awake rather than asleep. I guess she just likes her quiet time in her room. I don't mind because she is so social and I think she is needing less sleep now that she is getting older. She is just so cute!

I remember when my kids got to that stage. They eventually went to sleep :) Glad to know she loves her sleep as much as I do! I love the bow keeper on the wall. My Mom either made one or bought one for us when we were younger. It was a tole painting of a girl's face, and she had hair braided in pigtails and the bows were kept on the braids. Anyways, it took me back to my childhood :)
