Jonathan was organizing our digital pictures on our computer this weekend, and we both got a little nostalgic looking at all that's happened these past two years. The kids change so fast it's easy to forget what they were like as newborns. Thank goodness for pictures!
This was when we were in NC. We were driving with Sami from the hospital, and she had just become ours. This is the first time she had ever been in a car. She was dressed by her birth mom, and I have the dress and bow tucked away for her.
I forgot how yummy her cheeks were. As an infant, Sami had pretty severe eczema. She would scratch her face up until it bled. I didn't know what to do. I kept her hands in mittens and kept her nails trimmed as best I could. And then Heavenly Father sent me wonderful visiting teachers who had had babies with the same problem. They told me to only give her bath twice a week and they told me what ointments to apply. Within a week, her skin improved dramatically and now we don't have a problem with it at all.
My girls have always loved food.

Then Janie joined the fun. I forgot how long and skinny she was as a newborn. They change so fast.
This picture always cracks me up. My mother-in-law loved this picture of Janie so she had it printed and put it up on a collage of pictures of all her grand kids. One day I was looking at it and realized that Janie has a boogie coming out her nose, but you can only see it on the big picture. Good thing she changes out her pictures every year.
Time flies. Now my girls are all over the place...playing, giggling, and fighting over toys. We just hope they don't ever fight over boys.
As you can see, by three p.m., the bows are out and so is the hair. The shirts have food on them leftover from lunch and my house is covered with toys. But I don't mind so much, most of the time (I admit that sometimes I just have to clean the girls up and fix their hair. I don't know why because it just gets back to this after dinner).

Chrissy, the girls are getting so big and they are beautiful! Oh and by the way, I was looking at your family pictures and you are gorgeous. I guess motherhood is agreeing with you:) We miss you guys. We keep talking about how great it would be to end up in AZ for residency especially if you guys end up staying there too. Oh, and love your scrapbooking pages too!
Yes, you do have adorable girls!!! I loved the old and new photos. My love to y'all!!
