I feel like almost all my spare time is focused on primary now, but I don't want to ignore my blog. I love looking back and seeing how we've changed.
It is definitely winter here. We have had sick girls (including me at the moment), lots of snow, and even a few snow days.
The girls wanted to go out and play in all the snow, of course. It took forever to get everyone bundled up. We were only outside for two minutes before Lucy fell in some snow and was crying. So Lucy and I came inside and made macaroni and cheese while Sami and Janie played a bit more.
A few days ago Sami and Janie were squabbling. I pointed out to Janie that what she said wasn't nice. She went over to Sami and said, "Sami, I am sorry, will you forgive me?" Sami said, "Janie, we are sisters, of course I forgive you. I always forgive you!" It was so sweet (and rare!) that I wanted to record it.
And Lucy. My determined one. She is fun and feisty.
For a while whenever she was mad at me, she would take off her clothes and diaper. Then she would pee. Either on the floor or in her crib. Yeah, I wasn't thrilled about this behavior. So we started putting swimming suits on her over her clothes and using safety pins to pin her pjs together at night so her clothes would stay on.
Well, thankfully she has moved past that very un-fun behavior but she still likes to wear swimming suits over her clothes. She goes in almost every day and finds a swimming suit (either hers or her sister, even tumbling suits will do) and tries to put them on.
Oh how I wish I could freeze time!

Oh, I was just giggling out loud about sweet Lucy girl and her defiance in taking her clothes/diaper off and peeing, and what's better is your solution - I LOVE IT AND I LOVE YOU! Thanks for the laugh. Way to be patient, dear friend.
Lucy's story was hilarious. You are such a good mom! Hope you are all feeling better soon!
The swimming suit idea was totally ingenious!!! Love seeing your girls.
I'm sorry to laugh, but the swimsuit thing is hilarious-- good strategy!
