One morning about three months ago at 1:30 am, I was sitting in my recliner feeding Sami when I had the very distinct impression that I was pregnant. I've had this feeling before over the years, but this impression was so strong that I went to the calendar at the early morning hour and started counting days. It was possible. So I sent Jonathan to Walgreen's during his lunch break to buy a pregnancy test (there was a time when I bought them bulk from the Internet, but those days are past, gratefully). And the result was an instant positive!
The second baby Olsen is on its way! I was really nervous at first...nervous that I would miscarry again, and even more nervous that I wouldn't be a good mother to two children so young. But my Mom reassured me that women do it all the time, in fact she had three kids in three years, bless her heart! We are now 15 weeks along and are so excited. This next baby is coming around December 18th. December is a great month for us!!
This ultrasound was taken at 13 weeks. We just want a healthy baby, it doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl. But Jonathan and I both agree that it would be so fun for Sami to have a little sister. For us, this pregnancy is even more evidence that Samantha belongs in our home. Our family needs her. I am so glad that she will have a sibling to play with and grow up with. In fact, these two are going to share a lot of the same experiences, and I am glad that they will have each other.

We couldn't be happier for you...and are even more thrilled to be able to help in any way we can since you will be back in Arizona. I also feel like Sami will have a little sister, but I've been wrong before.
Congratulations Chrissy and Jonathan!!! We are all so excited for y'all! Now that I'm getting to know what it's like to have a baby around I know why y'all are so excited to be getting this experience all over again! Hope your pregnancy is going well!
Yay! I love that picture of you with the test! I can't wait to meet Sami's little sibling!!! :)
How exciting! Benjamin and Rose are close in age too, but I think they're such good friends because of it! They honestly act like a newly wed couple sometimes and it's hilarious to watch (he tries to make her as comfortable as he can and she serves him imaginary food and caters to his needs)!
I am still just so in awe of your news - and glad I got to hear it right from you!!! Jonathan is super excited as well - we just couldn't be happier for you!
Congrats...I am so happy for you. You are such a great mom. Good Luck with the new one and Sami is growing so fast and is so darn cute.
Oh my goodness, Chrissy. I feel so sad that I haven't been good about being keeping in touch. I just went to your blog and whoa - you said something about Sami being a big sister. Wait a minute... so I went through your whole blog up until this point and ...WOW! I am just so amazed! This is such wonderful news! Congratulations, a million times over! Seriously, I am so excited for you! And Janie is the cutest thing ever!
